Passage

Last summer, the Demir family went on holiday to Antalya, a beautiful coastal city in southern Turkey. They drove there from Ankara, and the journey took about seven hours. They stayed at a small hotel near the beach for one week. Every morning, the family woke up early and had breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast included fresh bread, cheese, olives, tomatoes, and tea. After breakfast, they walked to the beach, which was only five minutes away. The children, Elif and Can, loved swimming in the sea. Their father, Ahmet, preferred to sit under an umbrella and read his book. Their mother, Zeynep, enjoyed sunbathing and taking photographs. One day, the family took a boat trip to see the nearby islands. The water was very clear, and they could see colourful fish swimming below the boat. They stopped at a small island and had a picnic. Can was very excited because he saw a sea turtle near the shore. In the evenings, they usually went to a restaurant in the town centre to try different Turkish dishes. Elif's favourite meal was grilled fish, while Can preferred kebabs. On their last evening, they bought souvenirs from a local market. Elif chose a bracelet, and Can bought a small model boat. The family was sad to leave Antalya, but they had many happy memories and hundreds of photographs to look at when they got home.
